MEET THE TEAM

Tara Collins

M.S., CCC-SLP

Tara is the owner and chief endoscopist at Doorstep Dysphagia Diagnostics. She received her master’s degree in speech language pathology from California State University East Bay and began her career in an inpatient medical setting. During this time, she discovered her passion for swallowing disorders. Through her training and experience as a medical SLP, she has gained an understanding of the importance in using instrumentation to properly diagnose and treat swallowing disorders. After continued education and advanced training in swallowing evaluation and treatment, Tara wanted to provide patients with a way to access the gold standard in swallowing diagnostics and created the first mobile FEES business in the Bay Area.

Ariana Whitmarsh

Ariana is a speech-language pathologist who earned both a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of the Pacific. With experience across a wide range of clinical settings—including acute care, skilled nursing, outpatient voice and swallowing, and mobile FEES— she has developed a strong clinical foundation grounded in versatility and patient-centered care.

Specializing in the assessment and treatment of complex swallowing impairments, she is passionate about providing evidence-based, individualized support to medically complex populations. Throughout their career, they have also discovered a deep enthusiasm for teaching, particularly through mentoring and guiding clinical fellows as they grow into confident, skilled clinicians.
